A detached bluff on the west side of the Skelton Glacier, due west of Mt Tricouni. Surveyed and named in February 1957 by the New Zealand Party of the TAE, 1956-58. Named because it approximately resembles the shape of a clinker, a rectangular nail used in alpine boots, and because of its association with nearby Mt Tricouni.
