A glacier, 6 or 7 miles wide, flowing from the Polar Plateau edge through the main inland mountain range just south of Mounts Hoskins and Lindley to the Ross Ice Shelf, immediately south of Cape Parr - a distance of approximately 50 miles. Named by the Southern Party of the NZGSAE, 1960-61, to commemorate a survey by star observations.
