A fairly large stream falling over steep sea-cliffs to McMurdo Sound on the south side of Alexander Hill and Cinder Hill on the lower ice-free western slopes of Mt Bird. Geologists of the NZGSAE, 1958-59, explored this feature. The stream drains an extensive flight of glaciated rock benches smeared with moraine. Named by the NZ Antarctic Place Names Committee for J Wilson, Mountaineer-Assistant with the above expedition.
