A rounded snow-covered peninsula on the S side of Beethoven Peninsula, Alexander Island, rising to c. 460 m between Weber Inlet and Boccherini Inlet. Photographed from the air by RARE in 1947 and roughly mapped from the photographs by D. Searle of FIDS in 1960. Mapped definitively by USGS from U.S. Navy aerial photographs taken 1967-68 and from Landsat imagery taken 1972-73. Named by US-ACAN for Joseph E. Bennett, Head, Polar Coordination and Information Section, Division of Polar Programs, NSF, 1976-86.
