Named by US-ACAN after Geza T. Thuronyi, Antarctic bibliographer, Library of Congress, 1967-90; Head, Cold Regions Bibliography Project and Editor, volumes 3-18, Antarctic Bibliography, compiled in the Science and Technology Division, Library of Congress, Washington, DC; member of US-ACAN between 1987-90.
