Narrative

Rocky mass which forms the W extremity of the Havre Mountains and the NW extremity of Alexander Island. First seen by the Russian expedition of 1821 under Bellingshausen. Mapped in detail from air photos taken by the RARE, 1947-48, by Searle of the FIDS in 1960. Named by the UK-APC for the sloop Vostok, commanded by Bellingshausen.
