This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The narrow ice-free, crescent-shaped ridge on Livingston Island connecting Nedelya Point to the N and Rish Point to the SE. The 121 m high, 6.7 km long and up to 400 m wide ridge separates Byers Peninsula to the W from Rotch Dome to the E. Spanish mapping in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2009. Named after the medieval fortress of Urvich in Plana Mountain, Bulgaria.
