Origin

This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

A group of nunataks about 17 km north-east of Summers Peak in the Stinear Nunataks, Mac.Robertson Land. First visited in February 1970 by geologists with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party. So named because of the weather conditions encountered at the time of the visit.
