A prominent plateau of snow and ice about 9 km north of Bastion Hill. It has an area of about 90 square km and is about 1,830 m high, considerably higher than the Brown Hills, which it overlooks. Discovered and named by the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition (1962-63).
