A promontory of ice on the western side of the Amery Ice Shelf. Plotted from aerial photographs taken from an ANARE aircraft in 1956. First visited by an ANARE party led by D R Carstens in November, 1962. Named after N E Foley, weather observer at Mawson in 1962, a member of the field party.
