A cape on the south-western part of Dingle Dome, Enderby Land. The region was photographed by ANARE in 1956 and by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in the Lena in 1957. Named by the Soviet Expedition after S.E. Monakov, Soviet polar aviator, who perished in the Arctic.
