Narrative

The westernmost of the Frazier Islands, off the Budd Coast. The island was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Its position was fixed by an ANARE party, on 21 January 1956. Named by USACAN after chief electronics technician F E Charlton, USN, a member of the Wilkes station party in 1957.
