Narrative

Fue descubierta en un reconocimiento al mando de J. Gunnar Andersson de la Expedición de los años 1901-1904, quien invernó en el año 1903 en bahía Hope. El FIDS lo denominó así por R. Sheppard, comandante del "Eagle". Constituye el lado N de la entrada a bahía Hope. Es una saliente costera bastante aguda, se caracteriza por presentar en su extremo SE un nunatak cónico de 60 mts. de altura muy útil para identificarlas.
