Steele, tractor driver at the expedition's "East Base" (USAAF chart [LR-74], 1942; Mason, 1950a, map facing p.151; BA chart 3175, 12.xi.1954; APC, 1955, p.20; DCS 601 sheet 70 60, 1955; BAS 250 sheets SR 19-20/12 and 16, 1-DOS 1976); resurveyed by FIDS from "Stonington Island" in November 1947.
