This name originates from New Zealand. It is part of the New Zealand Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A massive bluff of Beacon Sandstone rising sheer 350 m from Gentle Valley and backed to the south by the ice and snow of The Flight Deck Neve. It is capped by a prominent knob of dolerite. Named after Peter Barrett who has done so much work on Beacon Supergroup rocks.
