Narrative

A peak, 1500m high which was occupied as an astronomical station during the NZGSAE, 1958-59. It lies midway between Cape Crozier and Mt Terror on the slopes leading up to Mt Terror. The name was proposed by the expeditoin because of the resemblance of the feature to a tent and also because their tent site of 5 January 1959 was just below it.
