This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The glacier on Greenwich Island bounded by Viskyar Ridge to the W, and Vratsa Peak to the NE. Extending 700 m in E-W direction, and 1.6 km in N-S direction. Draining southwards into Bransfield Strait E of Sartorius Point. Named after the city of Targovishte in Northeastern Bulgaria.
