This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered hill of elevation 237 m forming the N extremity of Vidin Heights on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 4 km N of Passy Peak and 2.2 km S of Sayer Nunatak. Overlooking Williams Point to the N, Rose Valley Glacier to the SE and Saedinenie Snowfield to the SW. Bulgarian topographic survey Tangra 2004/05. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1991 and Bulgarian in 2009. Named after the settlement of Zhelyava in Western Bulgaria.
