This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The mostly ice-covered island on the E side of Johannessen Harbour in the Pitt island group of Biscoe Islands. Situated 1.15 km SSW of Vaugondy Island, 1.23 km W of Jingle Island, 910 m N of Weller Island and 2.05 km E of Snodgrass Island. The feature extends 920 m in N-S direction and 1.06 km in E-W direction. British mapping in 1971. Named after the medieval fortress of Krivus in Southern Bulgaria.
