This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The peak rising to 1900 m in the southern portion of Bastien Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 4.66 km NW of Bergison Peak, 13.65 km SE of Wild Knoll, 9.6 km S of Mount Fisek, and 22.54 km W of Mount Inderbitzen in Sentinel Range. Steep and partly ice-free E and S slopes. Surmounting Nimitz Glacier and its tributary Karasura Glacier to the NE, and upper Minnesota Glacier to the SW. US mapping in 1961 and 1988. Named after the medieval fortress of Patmos in Southern Bulgaria.
