A prominent mountain peak about 4 km NNW of Lyttelton Peak. Discovered by the N.Z. Geological Expedition (1964-65). The name is the Maori word for 'arrow'. The triangular cross-section of the mountain when viewed from most directions suggests an arrow-head.
