A broad ice shelf at the head of a large embayment, consisting of Prydz Bay and MacKenzie Bay. A prominent point of the ice shelf was mapped by BANZARE (1929-31) on 11 February, 1931. Further exploration showed that Cape Amery had broken off and floated away, so the name Amery was applied to the whole ice shelf. |
