COMPOSITE GAZETTEER OF ANTARCTICA

The rocky island off the N coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands extending 360 m in WSW-ENE direction and 310 m in S-N direction. Situated 740 m W of Baklan Point, 860 m NE of Retamales Point and 1.05 km SSE of Withem Island. British mapping in 1968.

The mostly ice-free 2.7 km long and 400 m wide beach extending on both sides of Rebrovo Point on the SW coast of Snow Island facing Boyd Strait in the South Shetland Islands. Centred 2.18 km NW of Cape Conway and 3.4 km SE of Monroe Point. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. Bulgarian mapping in 2009.

The mostly ice-covered rocky E entrance point of Lorna Cove on the N coast of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago projecting 600 m north-northeastwards. Situated 5.35 km SE of Cape Wollaston, 6.8 km W of Cape Neumayer and 5.7 km NE of Consecuencia Point. British mapping in 1978.

The peninsula extending 13 km in E-W direction and 9 km wide at its base, forming the E extremity of Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Bounded by the terminus of Lister Glacier to the N, and Hill Bay to the S. Ending in Spallanzani Point to the E.

The 310 m long in WSW-ENE direction and 120 m wide rocky island lying off the N coast of Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 660 m NW of Cape Smith, 3.7 km ENE of Delyan Point and 1.06 km ESE of Barlow Island. Bulgarian mapping in 2009 and 2018.

The 250 m long in W-E direction and 110 m wide rocky island lying in Belimel Bay on the SW coast of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 1.7 km N of Asencio Point, 3.43 km S of Bulnes Point, 2.4 km SSW of Tizoin Point and 145 m NNW of Glarus Island. British mapping in 1978.

The 700 m long in S-N direction and 530 m wide rocky island in the Larsen Islands group on the W side of Coronation Island in the South Orkney Islands. Situated 3.53 km NW of Moreton Point, 700 m NW of Monroe Island and 150 m SE of Nicolas Rocks. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. British mapping in 1963.

The 1.85 km wide cove indenting for 950 m the N coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands. Entered E of Retamales Point and W of Baklan Point. British mapping in 1968.

The 300 m long in W-E direction and 190 m wide rocky island lying off Limets Peninsula in northern Low Island, South Shetland Islands. Situated 200 m NE of Cape Wallace and 1.2 km SW of Beslen Island. Highly indented coastline. British mapping in 2009.

The rocky E entrance point of Argonavt Cove on the N coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands projecting 450 m northwards. Situated 1.85 km ENE of Retamales Point and 3.47 km WSW of Cariz Point. British mapping in 1968.

The 140 m long in SW-NE direction and 60 m wide rock lying off the W coast of Rugged Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 2.63 km SW of Cape Sheffield, 1.95 km W by S of Ugain Point, 2.73 km NW of Benson Point and 4.5 km SE of the larger of the two Eddystone Rocks. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. Bulgarian mapping in 2009.

Peninsula extending 10.5 km in ENE direction towards Renier Point, Livingston Island. Bounded by Bruix Cove and Moon Bay to the N, and Bransfield Strait to the SSE. British mapping in 1968, Argentine mapping in 1980. Named after the Bulgarian city of Burgas.

The 1 km long in S-N direction and 110 m wide passage between Spert Island and the SW coast of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago. The S entrance of the passage is situated just W of Bulnes Point. The vertical clifs of Symplegades rise either side of the passage. British mapping in 1978.

Glacier located on Burgas Peninsula, eastern Livingston Island. Bounded by Ruse Peak and Asen Peak to the N, flowing southeastward into Bransfield Strait. Named after the Dobrudzha region in NE Bulgaria. From 62º39'08" to 62º39'47" S; from 59º56'10" to 59º58'00" W.

The solitary rock in eastern Prince Charles Strait, South Shetland Islands extending 40 m in SE-NW direction and 30 m in SW-NE direction. Situated 1.2 km SSE of the W extremity of Cornwallis Island, 700 m WSW of its S extremity Gaydarov Point, and 9.9 km ENE of Cape Valentine on Elephant Island.

The 230 m long in W-E direction and 170 m in S-N direction rocky island lying off Spert Island on the SW side of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 3.96 km NW of Bulnes Point, 1.27 km N of Melanita Island and 5.8 km W of Romero Point. British mapping in 1978.

The mostly ice-covered rocky island 330 m long in SE-NW direction and 180 m wide, lying off the NE coast of Trinity Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 4.2 km SW of Cape Neumayer and 14.55 km N of Awl Point. British mapping in 1978.

The 2.6 km long and 600 m wide beach on the N coast of Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands. Bounded by Terimer Point to the W, Orión Passage to the N, Agüedo Point to the E, Quito Glacier to the SE and Teteven Glacier to the SW. Snow-free in summer. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. Bulgarian mapping in 2005 and 2009.

The 480 m long in SE-NW direction and 230 m wide rocky island lying off the N coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 2.29 km W by N of Cariz Point, 1.7 km NNE of Baklan Point, 1.93 km ENE of Withem Island, 110 m NE of Kondor Island and 100 m SSW of Akin Island. British mapping in 1968.

The rocky point forming the S extremity of Cornwallis Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 10.5 km ENE of Cape Valentine on Elephant Island and 21.25 km NW of Humble Point on Clarence Island. British mapping in 2009.
