A nunatak about 41 km north-west of Mount Harding in the Grove Mountains, Princess Elizabeth Land. Plotted from ANARE air photographs. Named after J.P. Watts, supervising technician (radio) at Mawson in 1962.

More than 120 small islands and rocks, of which the largest is Stillwell Island, distributed close off-shore in the form of an arc in the vicinity of Cape Gray, on the coast of George V Land. Discovered by AAE (1911-14) under Sir Douglas Mawson, who named it after Sir Samuel Way, Chancellor of the University of Adelaide in 1911.

A gap with a névé surface and a low gradient offering a feasible route southward between Mt. Starlight and the Athos Range. It is 1,670m high and was sighted by ANARE party led by John M. Béchervaise on 26 November, 1955.

"Characterised by a network of deformed dykes, in an east west orientation and forming a weaving pattern. The name of the island reflects this character of its basement geology."

The trench is within the Australian Antarctic Territory on the north-west side of the Wilkes Subglacial Basin. The trench runs NE-SW and is separated from the main part of the Wilkes Subglacial Basin by the Southern Cross Subglacial Highlands. Discovered and mapped by radio echo sounding by the Scott Polar Research Institute.

The southernmost and westernmost arm of Long Fjord in the Vestfold Hills. Mapped from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition 91936-37).

A lake in the valley which extends south from Weddell Arm on Broad Peninsula, Vestfold Hills. The lake was one of several lakes investigated by ANARE biologists wintering at Davis in 1974.

A bluff about 22.2 km south-east of Parkinson Peak in Oates Land. Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy. Named after Lieut.Cmdr. S.J. Wegert, USN, aircraft commander during US Operations Deepfreeze '67 and '68.

A large heavily crevassed ice dome in the Prince Charles Mountains measuring about 15 x 15 km. The pressure ridges especially make this feature stand out.

An island about 2 km long with a truncated cone about 130 m high approximately 6 km north-east of Mawson Station in Mac.Robertson Land. Discovered on 14 February, 1931, by BANZARE under Sir Douglas Mawson.

A prominent escarpment, about 46 km long, bordering Geologists Range. Discovered by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological and Survey Antarctic Expedition (1961-62). Named after H.W. Wellman, New Zealand geologist who devised a simple method of map making from air photos, used by the expedition.

A small nunatak about 300 m in diameter, 65 km from Knuckey Peaks.

A broad valley in the Darwin Mountains, ending in steep spurs and gullies rising to Midnight Plateau on the east and Kennett ridge on the north. Discovered by the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition (1962-63). Named after Professor H.W. Wellman of Victoria University of Wellington, who participated in three Antarctic expeditions.

An island just east of Holl Island, in the Windmill Islands, off the Budd Coast. Plotted from air photographs taken by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Named by USACAN after Ensign R.O. Werlein, USN, assistant hydrographic officer on USN Operation Windmill (1947-48).

The bay on the south west side of the isthmus joining Laurens Peninsula to the main part of Heard Island. The name appears on Challenger's chart.
