This voyage conducted the relief of Macquarie Island in a six-day operation. A new radio hut was built and a new refrigerator plant was assembled. Passengers included three women biologists who made botanical collections and investigated the littoral ecology of the Island. Hurd Point and Green Gorge were resupplied. During the voyage an American entomologist netted aerially borne insects.
