Narrative

Two nunataks, one located in close vicinity to the Argentine station Belgrano II, the other 4 km apart in NW direction, seperated by the glacier Penckgletscher, Herzog-Ernst-Bucht, Prinzregent-Luitpold-Land, Coats Land. First ice-free 'Land in sight' during Deutsche Antarktische Expedition 1911/12 under Wilhelm Filchner.

Named For

Hermann Karl von Bertrab (1857-1940), Chief of the Prussian Land Survey (1904-1911); chairman of the association 'Deutsche Antarktische Expedition'.
