This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An ice fall in the southern part of Monts Belgica. JARE took air photos in 1976 and surveyed in 1979-80, and named Tenga Hyôbaku (tenga ice fall) because of occurrence of amazonite (tenga-ishi) nearby the ice fall.
