A rock pinnacle, about 200 ft. high, lying close to Cape Beale at the south-eastern end of Borradaile Island, one of the Balleny Islands. It is described as rising out of the water like a lighthouse. Discovered and named by Balleny, in February 1839, for W, Beale, who was one of the seven merchants who joined Charles Enderby in sending out the Balleny expedition, all of whom are honoured in this group of islands.
