Glacier 5 mi long and 1 mi wide, flowing SE from Harvey Heights to join Mackenzie Glacier at the E coast of Brabant Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. First roughly charted by the BelgAE, 1897-99, under Gerlache. Photographed by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1956-57, and mapped from these photos in 1959. Named by the UK-APC for Marcello Malpighi (1628-1694), Italian physiologist and pioneer histologist who first demonstrated the existence of the blood capillaries.
