This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An above-sea-level rock, located on the northwest corner of Hutou Bandao, lying on the coast, is a steep iced seashore. The southeastern slope of the rock is covered with snow all year round and the terrain of which is precipitous. From the top of the rock, Xiehe Bandao is quite distinct. It was named when aerial photos surveying and mappingĀ inĀ 1993.
