This name originates from . It is part of the Germany Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A distinctive high rock monolith lying in the W part of the half-moon-shaped massif Skorvestallen, 1.2 km SW of the butte 'Gipfel der Stille'. The vertical N face is crisscrossed by cracks and crevices. Holtedahlfjella, Kurzegebirge, Orvinfjella, Neuschwabenland, Dronning Maud Land. Very likely a first ascent on 2009-NOV-21 during a privately organized expedition, motivated by mountain climbing, nature studies and journalistic interests, called 1st Austrian Queen Maud Land Expedition 2009.
The mountain presents itself as an impregnable bastion or fortress.
