Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy. Named by United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Commander J.H. Judith, U.S. Navy, commanding officer of the Edisto during U.S. Navy (USN) Operation Deep Freeze (OpDFrz) 1964.
