A bluff on the north east coast of the Laurens Peninsula, Heard Island. Drygalski used the name Kap Vanhvffen after Professor E. Vanhvffen, zoologist of Gauss and one of the landing party, 3 February 1902. Since there is no well-marked cape in the position marked, the name has been transferred to the bluff.
