A steep rock buttress on the north side of Big Ben, Heard Island. It runs generally north-west from Davis Dome towards Atlas Cove. Named after L.F. Gibbney, Biologist, 1950 ANARE Heard Island Expedition, and Officer-in-Charge, 1952 ANARE Heard Island Expedition.
