This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An irregular raised undersea feature shallower than 500 m in depth, extending from under the Amery Ice Shelf and surrounding the Nanok Deep on its north-east and passing under the Amery Ice Shelf again.
Named for the Nella Dan then under charter to the Antarctic Division and widely used for marine research in Prydz Bay. Data gathered by the ship was important in defining the feature.
