This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A channel in the sea floor on the southeastern floor of Prydz Bay. It consists of two deeps each deeper than 750m. The southwestern one is 22km long and 5km wide and the northeastern is 70 km long with an average width of 17km.
Named in association with the Rauer Group.
