This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak of elevation 760 m in Bowles Ridge, Livingston Island. Situated 2.4 km E of the summit Mount Bowles, 1.25 km S of Melnik Ridge and 1.75 km W of Atanasoff Nunatak. Linked to Melnik Ridge by the 575 m high Yankov Saddle. Bulgarian topographic survey Tangra 2004/05. Named after Khan Asparuh of Bulgaria, 668-700 AD, who incorporated by treaty the territory between the Balkan Mountains and the Danube in 681 AD.
