This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The narrow rocky point projecting 600 m from the coast of Ray Promontory into Svishtov Cove in the NW extremity of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 750 m ENE of Start Point, 1.46 km SW of Essex Point and 1.23 km WSW of Kardzhali Point. Forming the E side of the entrance to Belene Cove. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1992. and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. Named after Kavhan Isbul, a prominent military commander, diplomat, and the regent of Bulgaria during the minorities of Khan Malamir and Khan Presian (9th Century AD).
