This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 256 m in Rugged Island off the W coast of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Summit of the island, situated in its central part 3.48 km NE of Benson Point, 4.17 km SE of Cape Sheffield, 830 m S of Cherven Peak, 1.91 km W of Vund Point and 1.58 km NW of Radev Point. Spanish mapping in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2009. Named after the settlement of San Stefano in connection with the eponymous Treaty that restored Bulgaria's statehood on 3 March 1878.
