This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp ice-free point on the SE coast of Snow Island in the South Shetland Islands projecting 200 m into Bransfield Strait. Situated 3.1 km SW of President Head and 2.3 km N of Hall Peninsula. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after the settlement of Kurilo in Western Bulgaria.
