This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky hill rising to 550 m in the S foothills of Detroit Plateau on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated N of the terminus of Drygalski Glacier, 6.44 km SE of the summit of Ruth Ridge, 6.2 km SSW of Cruyt Spur, 14.6 km W by S of Cape Worsley, 11.7 km N by E of Sentinel Nunatak and 8 km ENE of Bekker Nunataks. British mapping in 1978. Named after Papiya Peak on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
