This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The glacier extending 12 km in N-S direction and 6 km in E-W direction in Sostra Heights on the E side of northern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated N of the end of Embree Glacier, E of Bracken Peak, SW of Anchialus Glacier and S of the end of Newcomer Glacier. Flows eastwards into Rutford Ice Stream. US mapping in 1961. Named after Vit River in Northern Bulgaria.
