This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The 27 km long and 6 km wide glacier in Gromshin Heights on the E side of northern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated NE of Newcomer Glacier and SW of Yamen Glacier. Drains southwards along the E slopes of Mount Ulmer and Mount Ojakongas, then turns SE at Mount Washburn, flows E of Mount Cornwell and Mount Warren, and SW of Branishte Peak, and together with Newcomer Glacier joins Rutford Ice Stream S of Foros Spur. US mapping in 1961. Named after the ancient and medieval fortress of Vicha in Northeastern Bulgaria.
