This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The partly ice-free peak rising to 1700 m near the N end of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 4.93 km N of Mount Weems, 9.07 km ENE of Mount Lymburner, 9.4 km SE of Mount Liavaag and 14.4 km S of Lanz Peak. US mapping in 1961. Named after the British geologist Philip Nell, a member of the joint BAS-Bulgarian field party on Alexander Island in the 1987/88 season.
