This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp peak in Ellsworth Mountains rising to 2250 m near the end of the side ridge that trends 14.3 km from the peak on the main crest of north-central Sentinel Range standing just N of Mount Hale northwestwards to Memolli Nunatak. Situated 15.02 km SW of Mount Dalrymple, 10.07 km W of Ahrida Peak, 11.43 km NW of Mount Hale, 10.36 km N of Mount Hubley, 11.65 km E of Kovil Nunatak and 1.74 km SSE of Memolli Nunatak. Steep and mostly ice-free E and SW slopes. US mapping in 1961. Named after the Bulgarian revolutionary, historian and journalist Hristo Silyanov (1880-1939).
