This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The peak in Ellsworth Mountains rising to 2200 m at the end of the side ridge that trends 14.3 km northwestwards from the peak on the main crest of north-central Sentinel Range standing just N of Mount Hale. Situated 13.73 km W of Mount Goldthwait, 1.74 km NNW of Silyanov Peak, 11.35 km ENE of Kovil Nunatak, 22.1 km SE of Helfert Nunatak and 11.8 km SSW of Mursalitsa Peak. Steep and ice-free E and S slopes. US mapping in 1961. Named after Mariano Arnaldo Memolli, Director of the Argentine National Antarctic Directorate, for his support for the Bulgarian Antarctic programme.
