This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky point on the SW side of the entrance to Hall Cove, projecting 500 m north-northwestwards from the NW coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 5.24 km NE of Harmony Point and 2.85 km SW of Retamales Point. British mapping in 1968. Named after Czar Smilets of Bulgaria, 1292-1298.
