Restricted to Taxa group Springtails

Included are those collections that are published via the DiGIR protocol to SCAR-MarBIN - SCAR Marine Biodiversity Information Network, OBIS - Ocean Biogeographic Information System and GBIF - Global Biodiversity Information Facility.

The reference to SCAR-MarBIN is the count of records that fall within the spatial coverage of the SCAR-MarBIN portal. This was defined as the CCAMLR statistical reporting subareas (view map from SCAR Map Catalogue) but has now been extended to further north to include significant breeding sites such as Macquarie Island. K140 Cape Hallett 2002/2003 Biology of Antarctic Springtails Contains identity, abundance and distribution details for all the arthropods at Cape Hallett over three spatial scales: 1) A site-wide survey of the soil and under-stone arthropods of the Cape Hallett Ice-free area; 2) An elevational survey of the distribution of mites (combined) and springtails (Collembola, identified to species) on the algal flats and scree slope at Cape Hallett and 3) the identity, abundance and distribution of arthropods across a 24 m transect in spring and summer.
