The ice-covered island, 25 km by 10 km large, is the largest one of Robbeninsekn, 55 km SE located of Nordenskjöld Coast, E side of Antarctic Peninsula, Weddell Sea. Discovered during the expedition 1893/94 (vessels 'Jason' and 'Hertha') under the Norwegian Captain Carl Anton Larsen, financed by the Hamburg Company Woltereck & Robertson.
