rising to c. 900m on S side of Palestrina Glacier, NW Alexander Island, following survey by FIDS from "Fossil Bluff", 1975-76, was named after Lieut. Cdr William K. Braun, USN, aircraft commander, Squadron VXE-6, ODF 1970 and 1971 (APC, 1980, p.3).
